In addition, you will learn how to apply the new coding conventions and guidelines to code assignment. Get up to 10 of your most frequently used ICD-9CM codes converted to ICD-10CM

Currently Carl is the Sr. Coordinator for Coding/Training at Florida Health Care Plans in Holly Hill, FL. Recently he was named the business lead and training subcommittee lead for the ICD-10 project at Florida Health Care Plans. Carl will be responsible for training all employees at Florida Health Care Plans, currently over 300.

Carl's Education & Certifications:
  • Graduate of Daytona State College in August 2007 with an AS in Health Information Management and in December obtained his RHIT
  • Obtained his CPC from the AAPC in August 2008
  • Earned his CDIP in December 2001
  • AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM-PCS Trainer/Ambassador
  • HIT-Pro-TR certification that is now AHIMA sanctioned as CHTS-TR
